Globe Valve Series
Description:
It is a type of valve used for regulating flow in a pipeline. The valve consists of a movable disk-type element and a stationary ring seat in a generally spherical body. Its closure member (disc) moves along the centre lines of the valve seat. This globe valve series can be divided into flange globe valve ANSI, stainless steel globe valve, forged steel flange globe valve, etc. According to the move form of the disc, the changes of valve seat channel will present direct proportion with the disc movement. The open or close of valve stem is relatively short. It has very reliable cutting off function. Therefore, this globe valve series are very suitable to serve as the cutting off, adjusting and throttling part.
Advantages:
1. This globe valve series have good seal performance. Once the valve clack is removed from the closure position, its valve seat and valve clack have no longer contact. Therefore, the mechanical wear of its seal face is small.
2. Since most valve seats and disc of globe valve series are easier to be repaired or replaced, this valve is pretty suitable for the occasion where the valve and pipeline need to be welded into a whole part. However, the defeat is that the sealing surface may clamp the particles mixed in the flow medium. The disc in our products is made into steel ball or ceramic balls, so this problem is solved.
3. At the same time, the valve clack of globe valve series has fewer routes between opening and closing. The seal face and can sustain multiple opening and closing. Therefore this valve is applicable to the occasion where frequent switch is needed.
Selection Criteria:
When you choose globe valve series, the nominal diameter should be less than 250mm. There are also other globe valves whose nominal diameters surpass 400mm. You should pay special attention to its outlet and inlet direction. Usually, the medium inflows from the bottom of the clack if the nominal diameter of globe valve series are over 150mm. While the medium mostly inflows from the top of the clack when the nominal diameter will surpass 200mm. In order to reduce the open or closed torque, the inner or outer valve is set when the nominal diameter is more than 200mm.
